The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre completed his visits to Türkiye.

While in Kırşehir, Töre gave a conference at the Ahi Evran University and emphasized that sovereignty will not be given up.

Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre gave a conference titled “The just struggle of the Turkish Cypriots from yesterday to today” at Ahi Evran University in Kırşehir.

In his address at the conference, Töre stated that no one should deceive the Turkic world and stated that they will never give up their sovereignty and independence and will not be deceived by imperialists and colonialists.

Stating that some international circles call for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Cyprus and that the Turkish side should not conduct seismic research in the Eastern Mediterranean, Töre stated that the rights and interests on the island will always be protected in unity with the Motherland.

Pointing out that the only assurance of the Turkish Cypriots are Motherland Türkiye and the Turkish army, Töre said that the Cyprus cause is not only the cause of the Turkish Cypriots but also the whole Turkic world.

After the conference, the Parliamentary Speaker Töre was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the University administration.

Töre also visited the Martyr Pilot Staff Sergeant Ahmet Tozluklu Martyrs’ cemetery and later visited the Martyrs’ Families and Combatant Veterans Association and met with families of martyrs.
