The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre, has drawn attention to the close ties established with the Turkic World, announcing that the Presidents of the National Assemblies of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan will soon visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
During a meeting with the delegation from the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Töre emphasized the importance of carrying out the Cyprus cause in conjunction with the motherland, Türkiye.
Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre on Tuesday welcomed the Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s National Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports Commission, Mahmut Özer, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Özer expressed his satisfaction from being in the TRNC, stating that they are jointly pursuing the Cyprus cause.
He also mentioned the significant contributions made to the TRNC during his tenure as Minister of National Education.
Özer further noted that the commission is working to create a common geography for youth under the umbrella of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
In his remarks, Töre recalled the excitement experienced before the 20th July Turkish Peace Operation celebrations and affirmed that the Turkish Cypriot people continue to live freely and securely, under the guarantee provided by Türkiye.
Töre also pointed out that while Palestine, recognized by 146 countries, is being threatened by Israel today, no one dares to touch the TRNC, which is recognized only by Türkiye.
Referring to the close relations established with the Turkic World, Töre reiterated that the Presidents of the National Assemblies of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are set to visit the TRNC soon, with invitations already extended.
He recalled Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ‘s call for the recognition of the TRNC, underlining the significance of conducting the Cyprus cause in unity with motherland, Türkiye.
The TBMM delegation later observed a session of the General Assembly.
