The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre gave a reception within the framework of the November 15 Republic Day celebration events.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz also attended the reception.

The TRNC Security Forces Command Band and the State Opera and Ballet Coordination Centre gave a concert during the reception.

Delivering a short speech at the event Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre said that they were celebrating both the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye and the 40th anniversary of the TRNC.

“We will continue to celebrate the founding anniversary of the TRNC together until eternity,” said Töre and informed the guests about the history of Cyprus.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz who also attended the reception also delivered a speech.

Yılmaz said that they sincerely believe that the TRNC will sooner or later take its place in the international arena as a sovereign equal state and emphasized that they are exerting all efforts in this direction.
