The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre pointed to the importance of the solidarity and unity of the Turkish nation and noted that the Cyprus issue is not only the cause of Turkish Cypriots but also the cause of the Turkic world.
Töre made the statement during his visit to Malatya today.
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre, who has been carrying out contacts in Türkiye this week was in Malatya today.
Here Töre first visited the Malatya Governor Ersin Yazıcı and then Deputy Mayor of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Vahap Erdem.
Töre then visited the 2nd Army Command in Malatya and met with the Commander Lieutenant General Metin Tokel.
Töre also visited Battalgazi Municipality in Malatya and met with Mayor Osman Güder.
Speaking during the visit Töre expressed his happiness to be in Malatya, one of the most beautiful provinces of the Eastern Anatolia region, and said that each city of Anatolia has a different importance for them.
Reiterating that the Turkish Cypriot people felt the pain of the earthquake disaster in the region in their hearts and made contributions to heal the wounds with the spirit of mobilization immediately after the earthquake, Töre pointed to the importance of solidarity and unity with the Turkish nation.
Parliamentary Speaker Töre also visited Bayram Akdemir a veteran of the Cyprus Peace Operation residing in Malatya, at his home.
Here Töre wished Akdemir a speedy recovery and said that today the Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus (TRNC) continues on its way as a national state, thanks to the Mehmetçik and Mujahidin who fought in Cyprus.
