Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said, “The stronger the Turkish Armed Forces, the more effective deterrence will be.”

Töre stated that it is everyone’s duty to strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the Retired Colonel Murat Dirican who represents the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.

Speaking during the visit Töre stated that the Turkish Cypriots waited for the Turkish Army for 96 years, struggled for their existence during this wait, and next year they will celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Peace Operation.

Reminding that Retired Colonel Murat Dirican is a person who has served in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and knows him closely, Töre said that they follow the work done on behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation with much appreciation.

Stating that the region is currently in a circle of tension, Töre said that they condemn the genocide in Palestine.
