Parl. Speaker Töre receives Azerbaijan Journalists Union

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zörlu Töre thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for inviting President Ersin Tatar to Shusha.

Speaking during a visit paid to him by the Azerbaijani Journalists Union, Töre said, “He has taken a big step.”

During the visit, Töre emphasized the importance of one nation and three states and said that the value of communication has increased with the digitalized age and that journalists have important duties here.

Speaking about the existence of the European Union, the Arab League and similar unions in the world, Töre said that they are happy that the Turkic world is in a similar formation, but expressed his belief that this union should be further progressed.

Reminding that the Turkish army supported Azerbaijan in terms of morale and equipment in the victory in Karabakh, Töre emphasized the importance of cooperation in military, economic and cultural fields.

The president of the Azerbaijani Journalists Union Ayaz Marziyeva for his part stated that like every Turkish citizen, they see the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as their homeland.
