Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Yasin Ekrem Serim visited the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre.

Speaking during the visit Serim emphasized that Türkiye will always stand by the Turkish Cypriot people living safely under their own flag and state.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Yasin Ekrem Serim.

Speaking during the visit Töre wished the new Turkish Ambassador success at his post.

Stating that they will protect the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is a young state, and that they will continue on the road together as members of the same nation, Töre explained the importance of the guarantee and alliance agreements.

Referring to the steps taken by Türkiye to strengthen the socio-economic structure of the TRNC, Töre said, “I believe that these aids will continue to increase during your term.”

Töre reminded of the call made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations to “recognize the TRNC” and said that this statement was a historical turning point for them.

Newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Yasin Ekrem Serim for his part said that as the 16th ambassador serving in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, he will make every effort to bring the Turkish Cypriot people and the citizens of the Republic of Türkiye living here to brighter days.
