The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, who was carrying out a visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Speaking during the visit Turkish Minister Bak stated that as Türkiye, they have made their best efforts on every platform to protect the rights of the TRNC and noted that they will strive to overcome the embargoes imposed especially in the field of sports in the future.

Minister Bak pointed out that they are also working for the youth of the two countries to get to know each other better and that he was impressed by the energy of the young people in the TRNC.

Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre for his part stated that Turkish Cypriots are a member of the Turkic nation and that Türkiye’s new bright period means that the TRNC will also have a bright period.

Töre pointed out that the worlds silence in the face of the atrocities in Gaza has once again clearly demonstrated that the only guarantee of the Turkish Cypriots is the Motherland, and stated that they should never be deceived.

“We look to the future with hope. Fortunately there is Türkiye. We will continue to walk this path together with Türkiye” said Töre.
