The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Zorlu Töre, stressed that the Greek Cypriot administration cannot represent the Turkish Cypriots.
Noting that the Speaker of the Greek Cypriot Parliament was the head of the usurped Republic of Cyprus, Töre said, “The parliament there is under occupation.”
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Zorlu Töre, speaking on a TV programme on Wednesday slammed the Speaker of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Annita Demetriou for her remarks during a ceremony to commemorate EOKA fighters.
He reminded that the goal of EOKA was to unite the island with Greece.
Töre said, “Their friends are Israel and America, but for us, Türkiye is indispensable.”
Stating that Demetriou was the head of the usurped Republic of Cyprus, Töre said, “The parliament there is under occupation.”
Töre, also stressed that Annita Demetriou and the Greek Cypriot administration cannot represent the Turkish Cypriots.
