Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre reacted to the Israeli Prime Minister’s claim that there are Iran-backed terror groups in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Stating that the presence of terrorist groups in the TRNC is out of the question, Töre said, “this baseless claim he put forward is not enough to cover his barbarism.”

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said that the Israeli Prime Minister’s baseless claims are not enough to cover the crimes he has committed.

Describing Netanyuhu as a butcher of humanity, Töre expressed his belief that the Israeli Prime Minister will definitely pay for his crimes one day.

He noted that Netanyahu has resorted to this path of lies in order to continue to gain the support of Europe and the US.

Reminding that Israel continues to commit crimes against humanity in Gaza, Töre said that the Netanyahu administration is trying to camouflage the genocide in Palestine by diversifying the target.

Stating that the Turkish military is present in the TRNC together with the mujahids (Turkish Cypriot fighters) Töre said, “Our police organization does not allow such a formation, therefore there are no terrorist activities in our country.”

Stating that Netenyahu’s allegations go beyond blaming the TRNC and aim to target Türkiye, Töre said that Israel does not accept the Turkish army in the TRNC and therefore carried out a defamation campaign against Türkiye.

He advised the Israeli administration to look for terrorist groups in South Cyprus and referring to Israel’s support for the terrorist organization PKK in the past Töre said the Tel Aviv administration is a terrorist state.

Reminding that the Greek Cypriot side committed genocide against the Turkish Cypriots with the Republic of Cyprus it seized, Töre said that Tel Aviv and South Lefkoşa are conducting a campaign to defame the TRNC, but they will not succeed.

Töre noted that the superpowers, which should be standing by the oppressed are supporting the oppressor and expressed his condolences to the Palestinian people.
