The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre continued his Bayram visits on Wednesday by visiting the Güzelyurt, Lefke and Girne regions and celebrating the bayram (Eid) holiday of the citizens in the region.

Speaking during his visits, Töre said that the Turkish Cypriots continue on their way with the strength and support they receive from Motherland Türkiye.

According to the information given by the Republic’s Assembly, Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre visited various associations as well as village cafes and some houses and celebrated the bayram holiday with citizens.

Expressing his wish that the peace and happiness experienced during the feast will continue afterwards, Töre said that initiatives should be accelerated to end the massacre in Gaza.

Stating that the Turkish Cypriots continue on their way with the strength and support they receive from Motherland Türkiye, Töre noted that they will continue to work to further strengthen relations with the Turkic world in the coming period.

Reminding that this year is the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Peace Operation, Töre stated that the state and government authorities are making preparations worthy of the anniversary.
