The Republic’s Assembly entered its summer recess on Monday, marking the beginning of a three-month break.
Parliament, which will convene for an extraordinary session in July for the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected CTP MP Sami Özuslu, will resume its regular activities on Monday, October 2, with the beginning of the new legislative year.
Parliamentary committees however will continue to convene during the summer break.
Commenting on the process on Sunday, the Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre, reminded that there is a five day objection period for the election results,
Once the results are published in the Official Gazette, Özuslu will receive his certificate of election, and will be sworn-in after 10 days.
