The ordinary weekly meeting of parliament have been postponed to next week due to the earthquake in Türkiye.

The Legislative Assembly of the Republic’s Assembly will not be holding its sessions on Monday and Tuesday.

A statement issued by parliament has announced that this week’s routine weekly meetings which take place on Monday’s and Tuesday’s have been cancelled due to the earthquake in Türkiye.

It said that the decision was taken unanimously by all parties and MPs with seats in parliament.

The statement also expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and the Turkish nation, wishing survivors a speedy recovery.
