The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre held a series of contacts in Artvin on Monday.
Töre had moved onto the black sea city after completing his contacts in Aksaray.
The parliamentary speaker also delivered a conference at the Artvin Çoruh University as part of his contacts in Artvin.
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre’s first stop in Artvin was the Governor’s office where he met with the Provincial Governor Cengiz Ünsal.
Following the signing of the special book, Töre provided information on the history of the Cyprus national struggle.
Expressing the hope that Türkiye will always remain strong, the parliamentary speaker said this was important for the future of the TRNC.
Within the scope of his visit to Artvin, Töre also visited the Garrison Command Martyr’s Cemetery where he prayed at the graves.
He then visited the Artvin Martyrs’ Families and Veterans Association and met with the relatives of martyrs and veterans.
Speaking during the visit, Töre said that the Turkish nation realized and protected its independence thanks to veterans and martyrs.
He stated that the TRNC will never be abandoned and that they will continue to protect national interests.
During his visit to the Artvin Çoruh University, Parliamentary Speaker Töre was welcomed by Artvin Çoruh University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sıtkı Bilgin and the university administration and was informed about the activities of the university.
Töre then gave a conference on the Cyprus problem at the Artvin Çoruh University.
