A delegation led by Yasemin Öztürk, Chair of the TRNC Parliament’s Committee on Legal, Political Affairs, Foreign Relations, and Defence, has travelled to Istanbul to participate in the Second Meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Parliaments of Turkic States (TSPFAC), hosted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

As part of the meeting, National Unity Party (UBP) MP Yasemi Öztürk and her delegation will engage in discussions on global and regional developments, including the situations in Ukraine, Syria, and Gaza, as well as issues related to the Turkic World and parliamentary diplomacy.

The TRNC delegation will also meet with the heads and members of the Foreign Affairs Committees of Turkic States’ parliaments, alongside representatives from organizations such as TURKPA, the Organization of Turkic States (TDT), TURKSOY, the Turkic Investment Fund, and the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Accompanying Öztürk in the delegation are Ongun Talat, vice chair of the committee, and Hasan Küçük, committee member.

The delegation is also joined by TRNC Ambassador to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu and TRNC Parliament’s Press and Foreign Relations Officer Çiçek Göçkün Özdağ.
