Ziya Öztürkler, the Speaker of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Assembly, will travel to Ankara today for meetings. During his visit, he will meet with Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Parliamentary Speaker Ziya Öztürkler departed for Ankara on Wednesday for a series of contacts.
Öztürkler is being accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the TRNC Assembly, Fazilet Özdenefe, as well as members of the Assembly’s Presidential Council.
According to a statement from the Assembly, the delegation also includes National Unity Party (UBP) MP Yasemi Öztürk, and UBP MPs Hasan Küçük, Fırtına Karanfil, and Republican Turkish Party (CTP) MPs Şifa Çolakoğlu and Devrim Barçın.
The delegation is set to meet with Turkish Parliamentary Speaker Kurtulmuş.
The meetings in Ankara will focus on various topics, and the TRNC Assembly delegation is set to return home on Friday.
