The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Zorlu Töre, received the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu on Wednesday.
Speaking during the meeting, the Parliamentary Speaker noted that the population and the number of vehicles had increased, causing difficulties on the roads, and highlighted the importance of the newly inaugurated intersection in this context.
Stressing that motherland Türkiye had always supported the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Töre noted that the Presidential complex was also one of the significant investments.
Minister Uraloğlu for his part stated that they were constantly in communication with Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Erhan Arıklı, regarding the needs of the TRNC and potential collaborations.
He also added that they had already achieved significant cooperation and will continue to work together.
Pointing out the importance of the TRNC’s observer membership in the Organization of Turkic States, Uraloğlu expressed hope for full membership and recognition of the TRNC.
He also noted that infrastructure investments were crucial for the realization of these goals.
