The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre is in the Turkish capital Ankara to express his condolences to the Turkish Grand National Assembly following the earthquake disaster in Türkiye.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre and an accompanying parliamentary delegation flew to Ankara on Thursday morning to express the Turkish Cypriot people’s condolences and support to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) following the earthquake disaster in Türkiye.

Töre’s delegation consists of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Fazilet Özdenefe, Administrative Chief of the Assembly, National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy Yasemin Öztürk, Members of the Presidency Council, National Unity Party UBP Deputy Hasan Küçük and the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Deputy Şifa Çolakoğlu as well as the Parliamentary Chief of Staff İrem Uygun Soyşen.

The Parliamentary Speaker Töre will be meeting with the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop later in the day.

Töre and his accompanying delegation will return to the republic on Thursday evening after completing their contacts in Ankara.
