Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has issued a decree concerning aid and assistance being made to the earthquake-stricken areas of Türkiye.

Accordingly, the Disaster and Emergency Management Unit (AFAD) which operates under the Prime Ministry must be informed of all assistance and supplies sent to Türkiye.

He said it was necessary for all supplies to be delivered by AFAD so as to ensure they were used most efficiently.

According to the governmental decree announced by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, the Disaster and Emergency Management Unit which operates under his ministry must be informed of all donations, relief supplies and humanitarian aid sent to the earthquake-stricken areas of Türkiye.

He said that all assistance and aid to the areas must be delivered by AFAD.

Üstel reminded that all supplies collected at the Lefkoşa Atatürk Sports Hall were loaded onto trucks before being set to Türkiye.
