PM Üstel, Deputy PM Ataoğlu and Minister Arıklı congratulate Erdoğan

Government officials in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) had issued messages congratulating Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his re-election for a third consecutive term.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu and the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı all sent messages congratulating the Turkish President.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel on Sunday issued a message congratulating Turkish President Recep Tayyip who won the second round of the presidential elections in Türkiye.

“I would like to whole heartedly congratulate you on your undisputed victory as well as the Turkish nation who gave an important democratic test. I would like to wish all the best to the motherland,” the message read.

Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu in his message said that the Turkish president’s re-election was an indicator of the Turkish people’s trust towards Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and proof of his praise worthy leadership.

“Mr. Erdoğan has work determinedly for the development and welfare of Türkiye. The leadership, courage and vision he has shown has allowed Türkiye to achieve great success. We as the TRNC continue to support the steps taken under his leadership for Türkiye’s stability and welfare because a strong Türkiye means stability and prosperity in the TRNC as well,” he said.

Ataoğlu concluded his message by stating that Erdoğan’s re-election will contribute to the further development and prosperity of the Turkish nation.

Also congratulating the Turkish president, the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı said that Türkiye had completed the elections with great majority, confirming the Turkish nation’s will.

He said that everyone who believes in democracy should accept the results with great majority and should refrain from rhetoric that accuses, ostracizes and violates the principle of tolerance.
