Prime Minister Ünal Üstel issued a message on Thursday congratulating the Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK) on the 50th anniversary of its establishment.
In his message issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish News Agency Cyprus, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said that TAK, with its sense of public responsibility and impartial reporting, continued its mission of promoting the just cause and making the voice of the Turkish Cypriots heard worldwide.
Üstel recalled that the agency was established 50 years ago with the support of the founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş and started its publications on December 21, 1973, amid challenging and extraordinary conditions of the time.
He also noted that TAK still prioritizes the mission of narrating the just cause and struggle of the Turkish Cypriots, informing the public, and conveying news from around the world to the Turkish Cypriot people in a reliable and unbiased manner.
In conclusion, the prime minister extended his best wishes for success to the valuable personnel who have contributed significantly to the establishment and development of TAK, expressing heartfelt congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the Turkish News Agency Cyprus.
