PM Üstel receives Cyprus Turkish Disabled Federation

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received members of the Cyprus Turkish Disabled Federation on Thursday.

A delegation from the federation is paying visits to state and government officials in line with World Disabled Week which is observed between May 10-16.

Speaking during the visit, the premier said that their target was to hire 50 disabled persons in the public sector before the end of the year.

“We are well aware of the employment problem experienced by disabled people in our country. Therefore, as the government, we promised to employ 50 people starting from July until the end of 2023,” said Üstel.

Also touching upon the Barrier-Free Living House, the premier said that he will be allocating 15 million TL for the completion of the infrastructure problems there.
