Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received business people from Türkiye who are in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The Premier emphasized that relations with Türkiye continue at the highest level.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received and met with delegations made up of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration and the Board of Directors of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, who were in the TRNC with the organization of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry.
The head of the TRNC Chamber of Industry Ali Kamacıoğlu accompanied the delegation.
Speaking during the visit Prime Minister Ünal Üstel drew attention to the inhumane attacks in Palestine and expressed the hope that these attacks will come to an end as soon as possible.
He emphasized that what is happening in Palestine is similar to something that the Turkish Cypriots have experienced.
“As the Turkish Cypriots, we resisted such an atrocity together with our mujahids and our soldiers. With the July 20 Peace Operation, we were freed from this captivity. In those difficult years we lived, we had Motherland Türkiye by our side, and we have today” said Üstel.
“Unfortunately, Palestine has neither a guarantor nor a motherland. The world still maintains its insensitivity on this issue. Unfortunately, both the UN and the EU are just sitting and watching innocent people being killed” said Üstel.
Touching upon economic issues, Üstel said that business people from the Republic of Türkiye agree that their cooperation with the TRNC and the investments to be made will contribute to economic development and emphasized that relations with Türkiye continue at the highest level.
The head of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Ömer Gülsoy for his part said that they are happy to be on the island to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
“The TRNC is very important for us and it is the apple of our eye. As the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, we will have many meetings in the TRNC in order to contribute to the economy and economic development of country. We hope that we will have permanent partnerships as a result of these meetings” said Gülsoy.
