Prime Minister Ünal Üstel once again expressed his condolences to the Turkish government on Tuesday by signing the special book opened at the Turkish Embassy for those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquakes which struck the southern region of Türkiye last week.

“I would like to express that the Turkish Cypriot people are sharing the pain and suffering of the Turkish nation with which we share in our hearts. The TRNC government, as always, stands beside the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish people, and is prepared to help in any way possible. May those who lost their lives rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones. I would also like to wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” Üstel wrote.
