PM Üstel unviels plans for government projects

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel on Monday revealed the government’s latest plans and projects.

Speaking on the BRT, Üstel announced that the state will begin with the construction of 1,500 Social Housing units in Alayköy. He also mentioned that during Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz’s visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), new projects will be discussed, including the inauguration of the irrigation canal that will allow water from Türkiye to be used in the citrus orchards in Güzelyurt.

Speaking on BRT on Monday afternoon, Prime Ünal Üstel revealed to the public the government’s latest projects.

He pointed out that the Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will be holding contacts in the TRNC to exchange views on projects to be carried out within the framework of the Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocol.

Üstel also announced that the citrus orchards in Güzelyurt will officially have access to water from the Geçitköy Dam which collects the water that comes from Türkiye.

The prime minister said that he and the Turkish vice president will also be inspecting the work on the project to bring the water to the Mesarya plain.

Üstel emphasized that they have fulfilled all the promises made to the people since the government’s establishment, and they are working towards providing uninterrupted energy supply.

He mentioned that the tender process for the purchase of 2 generators is ongoing.

Regarding rural land plots, Üstel stated that most of the infrastructure work has been completed, and that a tender will be launced for the remaining part.
