Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said that the martyrs and veterans protected these lands with their blood and lives and brought the Turkish Cypriot people to where they are today.

During his visit to the Society for Martyrs’ Families and Disabled War Veterans, Üstel advised those who wish to engage in Greek Cypriot propaganda on Netflix to visit the Martyrs’ Families Museum.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited the Society for Martyrs’ Families and Disabled Veterans, where he exchanged views with the society members.

Speaking there, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel noted that the martyrs and veterans protected these lands with their blood and lives and brought the Turkish Cypriot people to where they are today.

Reminding that the struggle for existence was fought in unity with the motherland, Türkiye, the Premier said, “Despite all the pressures and genocides, we never gave up the struggle, and with the support of our motherland Türkiye, we gained our freedom through the Peace Operation of July 20, 1974.”

Expressing his respect and gratitude for those who were lost, Üstel said, “When we visit the Society for Martyrs’ Families and Disabled Veterans, we once again understand more profoundly the struggles faced by our children, youth, and elders. As someone who lived through those difficult days and experienced the pain endured by the Martyrs’ Families, I understand it very well.”

Prime Minister Üstel also advised those who wish to engage in Greek propaganda on Netflix to visit the Martyrs’ Families Museum, adding that the truth can be found in the photos displayed in the museum.
