President Ersin Tatar emphasized that he will continue to resolutely defend the rights and new policy of the Turkish Cypriot people on every platform.

Evaluating his contacts, Tatar noted that he had very important and positive contacts within the framework of his visit to London, which had been planned months ago.

President Ersin Tatar evaluated his contacts in London to the TAK news agency by stating that so far his contacts had been very fruitful.

Stating that he gave importance to foreign contacts as well as attending the meetings of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara, Tatar said that he conveyed the rightful cause and new policy of the Turkish Cypriot people to his interlocutors.

He explained that he met with British parliamentarians and members of the media within the scope of his London visit, which had been planned and organized months ago and said that they talked about the Cyprus problem and the Turkish Cypriot side’s new politics.

Stating that after the British Parliamentary delegation visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), he had received an invitation to visit Westminster in England, President Tatar said that he had given the necessary messages during his visit.

He said that they had met many British parliamentarians and members of the media, and that efforts to explain the new policy of the Turkish Cypriot people on every platform will continue.

Tatar noted that as the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus he will also meet with deputies and lords in the British Parliament.

Emphasizing that these contacts had been planned months in advance, Tatar said that just like other country leaders, he wants his country and people to take part in every platform, for their voices to be heard and their rights to be protected and that he will be working with determination until this has been achieved.

Meanwhile, within the framework of his visit to the UK, President Ersin Tatar also came together with the former British Minister of Labour, academician Brooks Newmark and Azerbaijani Deputy Ramil Hasan.

During the meetings, the Cyprus issue, the new vision of the Turkish Cypriot side, the removal of the unfair isolation enforced against the Turkish Cypriot people and bilateral relations were discussed.
