Pr Tatar issues message to mark World Alzheimer’s Day

President Ersin Tatar issued a message to mark World Alzheimer’s Day.

In his message issued to mark the 21st of September World Alzheimer’s Day, President noted Tatar noted that the country’s and world’s population was rapidly aging to factors such as advancement in medicines, increased awareness, screening and early diagnosis.

Pointing out that progress has been made studies in slowing down the process and reducing the severity of some symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease, Tatar reminded that exercise, music, art and light are recommended as beneficial treatments in addition to drug treatment.

“Studies in the field of health have shown that exercise, which starts early in life, can reduce brain damage related to Alzheimer’s disease, and that people should focus on an active lifestyle in order to reap their benefits at old age” said Tatar.
