President Ersin Tatar received the Board of Directors and general director of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority-KIB-TEK on Tuesday.

The latest developments concerning the electricity issue were discussed during the meeting.

President Ersin Tatar discussed the latest power cuts and strikes with the general director and members of the board of directors of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority-KIB-TEK.

President Tatar stressed that it was essential that the public was not punished and that common sense will prevail.

Stressing the importance of interconnectivity and linking the TRNC’s electricity grid with Türkiye via cable will be more efficient, more modern and sustainable energy, Tatar said that it would be of great benefit to do this in consultation with the Republic of Türkiye.
