President Ersin Tatar on Thursday received the municipal council members and mukhtars from the Denizli Acıpayam Municipality.

Speaking during the visit President Ersin Tatar said that everything will be done to heal the wounds and pains of the people that were affected by the earthquake.

President Ersin Tatar touched upon the devastating earthquake that hit Türkiye last week, an earthquake that has rarely been seen in history and led to much destruction in many provinces of Türkiye and stated that many people lost their lives, among them some citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriot people were deeply affected by the loss of their fellow citizens in the earthquake, President Ersin Tatar said that the names of those who lost their lives will be kept alive and that measures should be taken to prevent the affects of such disasters from reoccurring in the future.

Underlining that the state will do everything in its power for this, Tatar said; “As children of the same nation, we share your pain. Whatever can be done to heal these wounds will be done. I wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured”.
