President Ersin Tatar on Tuesday drew attention to the importance of clean and renewable energy.

He was speaking during a visit to the Necat British College in Lefkoşa where he came together and chatted with pupils.

Addressing the students in English, President Ersin Tatar said that he was proud to see a school like Necat British College giving education in English.

Tatar also drew attention to the importance of protecting the environment and reducing the use of fossil fuels.

“Clean and renewable energy is extremely important. This could be an important step in protecting and preserving the environment,” he added.

Also touching upon the Cyprus issue, President Ersin Tatar said that the Turkish Cypriot people had made great sacrifices in order to achieve statehood.

He also shared with the students ongoing projects in the TRNC.

The president also answered student’s questions from the students.
