In line with the efforts to prepare for earthquakes and natural disasters, a meeting was realized on Tuesday under the chairmanship of President Ersin Tatar.
The current situation of buildings in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and measures to be taken were discussed at the presidency.
Meetings with technical experts, bureaucrats and academics are continuing with the aim of being better prepared for earthquakes and natural disasters.

Speaking during the meeting President Tatar pointed to the importance of taking steps to minimize the risk of possible disasters, in line with the opinions of experts in their fields.
“This meeting was held with experts at the Presidency and is aimed at reducing disaster risks and increasing public awareness about disasters and emergencies” said Tatar and added that he would be supporting every political move aimed at protecting the public.
