Pres. Tatar receives Isparta Chamber of Commerce and Industry

President Ersin Tatar stated that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is on the road to becoming a centre of attraction.

He said that the TRNC will take its place as an island of tourism, trade and science in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Tatar on Thursday received the President of Isparta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Metin Çelik and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar commemorated the former President of the Republic of Türkiye Süleyman Demirel who was from Isparta and voiced his desire to meet with young people at the Süleyman Demirel University and explain the Cyprus problem.

Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has achieved success in tourism, higher education, agriculture, industry, the service sector and research and development projects in the economy, Tatar said that the TRNC is on the way to becoming a centre of attraction.

He explained that the TRNC will take its place as an island of tourism, trade and science in the Eastern Mediterranean and emphasized that foreign and local business people who have seen the developments are investing in the country.

Noting that with the development of transportation in Türkiye and the TRNC, the ties between the two peoples have also improved, President Tatar said, “It is important to benefit from Isparta’s success and experience in agriculture and other sectors. The partnerships to be established will be most fruitful.”
