Presidency Earthquake Crisis and Coordination Committee continues its work

The Earthquake Crisis and Coordination Committee, chaired by President Ersin Tatar, continues its efforts to provide the necessary machinery and vehicles to the disaster area.

A written statement issued by the committee noted that the teams and aid materials were delivered to the disaster area.

The committee chaired by President Ersin Tatar continues to work intensively with the participation of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, the Commander of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Command Major General Sezai Öztürk, the Commander of the Security Forces Command Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu, Presidential Undersecretary Okan Donangil, Prime Ministry Undersecretary Hüseyin Cahitoğlu as well as the Head of the Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities Mahmut Özçınar and other authorities.

The committee coordinates the sending of vehicles and various aid materials provided by business people to the earthquake zones.

While the committee closely monitors the search and rescue efforts of the students under the rubble, it also discusses the issue of bringing citizens from the earthquake area to the country.

As part of the committees efforts, over 100 rescue and medical teams have been sent to Türkiye.
