President Ersin Tatar, on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot community, donated 75,000 Euros to the Committee on Missing Persins in Cyprus.

According to a written statement issyed by the Committee, with this amount, the Turkish Cypriot community has provided financial assistance to the committee amounting to 583,000 Euros since 2006.

The aid will be used within thescope of the General Excavation, Identification and Return of the Remains of Missing Persons Project carried out by the CMP.

Established in 1981 by an agreement between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders under the auspices of the United Nationas, the CMP’s project on the Exhumation, Identification and Reutrn of the Remains of Missings Persons in Cyprus was launced in 2006.
