President Ersin Tatar on Sunday attended the 2024 New Year’s Ball organized by the North Cyprus Young Business People’s Association.

Speaking during the event President Tatar said that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is an independent Turkish State in the Eastern Mediterranean and continues to develop with the support of motherland Türkiye.

He emphasized the importance of the existence and security of the state and stated that investments increase over time in a safe environment.

Speaking in regards to the contribution of cooperation protocols for economic development and progress, President Tatar stated that with the realization of the projects, the investments made by private enterprises increase the national product and production potential, and with the increase in added value, employment opportunities are created.

Explaining that the wheels of economy have started to turn again and the figures have surpassed the pre-pandemic figures, President Tatar noted that investments in tourism, higher education, industry, agriculture and construction sectors continue with every passing day.

Drawing attention to the work carried out by young and entrepreneurial business people, the President said, “The fact that you can increase productivity here with your belief in the TRNC shows your patriotism. Stability and the existence of this state are very important for your success.”
