He emphasized that the most important turning point for the Turkish Cypriot people in order to reach where they are today was the July 20, 1974 Peace Operation.

“The motherland, the foster-land and the blue homeland are stronger together, no one can underestimate the Cyprus cause, neither those that are among us or those from the outside” Tatar said, underlining that Cyprus is an Ottoman Island.

Drawing attention to the reality that there are two separate peoples in Cyprus, Tatar said that the Turkish Cypriot people have the right to sovereignty and the right to self-determination.

Looking at the developments in the region, Tatar said that the Republic of Türkiye will never give up the TRNC and that Cyprus is of national value for the Turkish Cypriot people.
