President Ersin Tatar issued a message to mark March 18-25 Elderly Week.

In his written message, President Ersin Tatar said that this special week gives everyone the opportunity to show the elderly how much we love and appreciate them.

The President wrote that this week allows everyone to show the elderly, who are the cornerstones of our people, the respect and love they deserve.

“Our elders are our precious assets who increase the richness of our people with their knowledge and experience and transfer our culture and values to future generations. Their life experiences guide our youth and play a great role in preserving our social memory”, said Tatar.

“It is one of our primary duties to express our respect and reverence for our elderly, to produce projects as a state to improve their quality of life, to show that we are always with our elderly and to make efforts to respond to their needs” said Tatar in his message.

He expressed the hope that the week will make everyone more sensitive in raising awareness of the elderly in our society and giving them the value they deserve.
