Tatar emphasized the challenging nature of the medical profession, which begins with university education and requires continuous renewal. He noted that it is a profession that demands staying at the forefront of scientific, social, and technological developments, and being actively involved in research.

He highlighted that the purpose of medicine is to enhance the health and quality of life of individuals, enabling them to live happily.

The President also recognized the significant contributions of Turkish doctors, scientists, and healthcare workers in leading advancements in medicine, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic and the devastating earthquake of February 6, 2023.

He stated, “Doctors and healthcare workers who work tirelessly day and night, in war zones and disaster areas, are entitled to work in conditions free from worry. It is the duty of governments to ensure the improvement of their working environments and conditions.”

Tatar concluded his message by reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services, describing healthy living as a fundamental right for every individual. He also praised recent global-scale investments in healthcare in the TRNC, considering them a guarantee for the future of public health.
