President Ersin Tatar has highlighted the significant potential of national unity and solidarity, stating that projects related to tourism, construction, agriculture, and education between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Azerbaijan should be brought to life.

Meeting with businesspeople in the capital of Azerbaijan Baku, President Ersin Tatar drew attention to the importance of economic projects related to trade, tourism, construction, agriculture, and education between the two countries.

He pointed out to the longstanding cultural and national bonds shared by Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the TRNC, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, all of which trace their origins back to the Oghuz tribes.

Tatar stressed that all these countries shared a common heritage, a multi-millennial culture, national values, and spirituality.

He underscored the immense potential of national unity and togetherness.

Tatar also highlighted the importance of fostering economic and trade projects, as well as initiatives in tourism, construction, agriculture, and education between the two countries.

He mentioned that people who share the same culture and national values can establish closer connections with each other.

The president noted that this requires collective efforts and suggested that political support would follow.

Tatar also noted the presence of successful universities in the TRNC and highlighted the need to increase the number of Azerbaijani students choosing to study in TRNC universities.

“I conveyed this view to President Aliyev of Azerbaijan, proposing that we should have at least 3,000 Azerbaijani students studying in the TRNC,” he said.

Tatar believed that this would significantly contribute to the economy of the TRNC and strengthen the bonds between the two countries,” he said.
