President Tatar met with British expats living in the TRNC

President Ersin Tatar met with British expats residing in the Karaman village in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

President Tatar emphasized that British expats living in the TRNC are a very important part of the society that contributes socially and economically to the country.

President Ersin Tatar, upon receiving an invitation from village residents came together with the British expats living in the Karaman Village in the TRNC.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar expressed his joy at being able to come together with the British expats in the Karaman village.

Tatar stated that the British citizens living in the TRNC contribute to the country both socially and economically.

He also stated that he shares the same sensitivity with everyone in protecting the beautiful features of the historical Karaman village, which is home to more than 140 families.

President Tatar also commemorated Peggy McAlpine, the late mother of Elizabeth Forsyth, who broke the world record by paragliding from the 760-meter summit of Beşparmak Mountain on her 100th birthday in 2007 and made a name for the TRNC.

He also thanked the British expats living in the TRNC for their support of the country and the Turkish Cypriot people, who continue to seek justice and strive to end the inhumane isolations imposed against them.

“I have always attached great importance to the immigrant community, and I am ready to assist you if there is a need,” said Tatar.
