President Tatar received delegation from New Azerbaijan Party

President Ersin Tatar received the Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit Tatar expressed his joy at receiving the delegation on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)

“The achievements of the brotherly Azerbaijani state and its cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye gives us much joy” said President Tatar, adding that the Karabakh Victory showed the whole world that Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan.

Thanking the delegation for the close attention they had shown to the TRNC delegation during their visit to Azerbaijan, Tatar said “despite some political problems, we see ourselves as ‘One Nation Three States’.”

Stating that while he wishes the Turkish Cypriot people will live in peace and tranquillity in the future, they have always seen themselves as the southernmost Turkic state, Tatar reiterated that the Turkish Cypriot people, who are an inseparable and integral part of the Turkic world, have their own democracy, independence and their own state.

“As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the TRNC with great enthusiasm, your presence with us in these celebrations means a great deal. In the new period, we hope to have closer relations with Azerbaijan by furthering our relations with Azerbaijan in the age of communication, both in tourism, education, trade and cultural activities” said Tatar.

Vice Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Tahir Budakov for his part said they will continue their inter-party activities in the direction of further development of relations between the two countries and as the New Azerbaijan Party they will work in cooperation within the scope of “One Nation, Three States”.

Stating that they felt the moral support of the Turkish Cypriots on the Karabakh issue, Budakov said that they attach great importance to the cooperation of the Turkic states in the Turkic world.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and National Unity Party (UBP) MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu were also present during the visit.
