President Ersin Tatar on Thursday received the Justice and Development Party’s new Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Representative Emre Kaya.

During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized the importance of stability and peace in Cyprus.

Wishing Emre Kaya success in his new post, President Ersin Tatar said that developments in the nearby region have once again demonstrated the importance of stability and peace in Cyprus.

He noted that if there is to be an agreement in Cyprus, the TRNC, as an independent Turkish state, should be a part of this agreement.

President Tatar reminded that Türkiye supports a two-state solution and expressed the importance of this support.
