President Ersin Tatar stated that not just any agreement is acceptable for the Turkish Cypriot people and that the Turkish Cypriot people have red lines and that this should be known as such.

President Ersin Tatar received the President of the Erenkoy Fighters Association Ahmet Yıldırım and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit President Tatar stated that being able to explain the struggle in Erenköy is a great service to society and emphasized the importance of continuing this from generation to generation.

Underlining that they support all kinds of cooperation in order to live in peace and tranquillity, Tatar noted that it is also necessary to move forward without forgetting the past.

“It is very important to know the realities of Cyprus and act accordingly and step into the future,” said Tatar.

Emphasizing that not just any agreement is acceptable for the Turkish Cypriot people and that there are red lines, Tatar noted that it is important to be known and heard in this way.

Stating that as a non-governmental organization, associations also voice the realities and national values in Cyprus, which is very important, he expressed his thanks to the board of directors of the association for their contributions.
