President Ersin Tatar on Wednesday received Mustafa Kofalı, the Coordinator of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Ali Hoca, the Orchestra’s Conductor, and Nihat Ağdaç, the orchestra’s former chief violinist who was recently accepted into the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
According to the written statement issued by the Office of the President, Tatar mentioned that supporting art and artists has always been among their most important responsibilities.
He expressed his belief that through art, which promotes critical thinking and allows people to view events from different perspectives, the society’s spiritual values will be strengthened, and its intellectual and cultural identity will continue to develop.
Tatar congratulated Nihat Ağdaç on being accepted into the BBC Symphony Orchestra and wished him success.
He expressed his satisfaction with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra’s performances alongside world-renowned artists, bringing high-quality art to music lovers on a global scale.
He also highlighted that the masterpieces produced by artists who have emerged from the civil society of the Turkish Cypriot people and achieved success on a global level serve not only our nation but also the entire world.
He emphasized that his support for art and artists will continue.
