The delegation of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, which are carrying out a variety of contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were received by President Ersin Tatar on Wednesday.

President Ersin Tatar received the delegation of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities headed by Abdullah Eren and received information about the work they have carried out.

Speaking during the visit President Tatar pointed to the unifying nature of the work carried out by the delegation in different countries and said that the ties established with Turks in different parts of the world are very valuable.

He also emphasized the importance of transferring the traces of the Ottoman period and historical ties to future generations on the island, which continued its existence under Ottoman rule as part of the Ottoman Empire for 350 years.

Stating that the Republic of Türkiye stands by the Turkish Cypriots with its institutions and organizations while maintaining the Turkish Cypriot presence and struggle on the island, Tatar pointed out that events taking place in cultural and artistic fields have an important role in carrying folklore to the future generations.
