President Ersin Tatar emphasized the increasing importance of public safety following unsettling developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, during a meeting with Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Yasin Ekrem Serim, and newly appointed advisors.
During the meeting, President Ersin Tatar pointed out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), in close cooperation with Türkiye, is actively consulting on security issues concerning airspace and the “Blue Homeland” (Mavi Vatan).
He underscored the significance of maintaining these crucial links for safeguarding the region.
Ambassador Serim introduced the newly appointed Military Attaché Hüseyin Güder, along with Interior Advisors Tamer Alpu and Soner Yıldırım.
He reiterated Türkiye’s unwavering support to the TRNC across various sectors, including security, through collaboration with the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus, the Cyprus Turkish Security Forces, and the Turkish Embassy’s Security Liaison Office.
President Tatar wished success to the newly appointed advisors and further highlighted the critical role of Türkiye in ensuring the safety and stability of the TRNC, especially in monitoring irregular migration and enhancing overall security measures in the region.
