President Ersin Tatar met with the officials of the Cyprus Turkish Women’s Council and expressed his support for the association.
He highlighted the significant role that women play in society and their successful participation in democracy and various fields.
President Ersin Tatar, together with first lady Sibel Tatar, received officials of the Cyprus Turkish Women’s Council.
During the visit President Tatar acknowledged the valuable contribution of women to the history of the Turkish Cypriot struggle.
He emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity in working towards the future of the people and fighting against the injustices faced by the Turkish Cypriot people in the Cyprus issue.
The President also received a book commemorating the 37th anniversary of the Turkish Cypriot Women’s Council from the Council’s President, Turhan Dülgeroğlu.
Dülgeroğlu informed Tatar about the activities of the association, including their efforts to become a full member of the European Women’s Council.
President Tatar extended his support and congratulations to the association and expressed his commitment to the pursuit of freedom and independence alongside women, young and old.
