President Ersin Tatar received the Director of the TRNC Postal Services Yusuf Örs and an accompanying delegation on Thursday as part of events marking the 59th anniversary of the TRNC Post Office.

Speaking during the visit, President Ersin Tatar said that TRNC’s Postal Services served as an important connection between the Turkish Cypriot people and the rest of the world.

Thanking the Post Office for its services, Tatar said that the TRNC postal services played an important role in efforts for the visibility and recognition of the country.

The president said that despite modern and technological forms of communication there was still the need for delivering and receiving postal packages.
