President Ersin Tatar will attend the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan.

President Ersin Tatar was invited to attend the 16th Economic Cooperation Organisations Summit by the ECO.

He will leave the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for Uzbekistan this evening in order to attend the summit.

He is expected to make a statement to the press before departing the island from Ercan Airport tonight.

Meanwhile the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will chair the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tashkent.

The event will be attended by the heads of state and governments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

The participants will consider issues of further enhancing trade, economy, investment, transport, communications, and humanitarian cooperation within the ECO and improving the activities of this multilateral structure.
